WHY BRICSCAD
With Release 9, TheoLt has shifted from using AutoCAD as is main development platform to BricsCAD. Why? Our plan is to develop the best mobile surveying solution possible and BricsCAD offered us the platform to do this cost effectively.
1. Size (and Speed). As AutoCAD has developed it’s “footprint” has grown, taking more space on the system and longer to load. Mobile platforms by definition are smaller and less powerful than their desktop counterparts and we found the larger and slower AutoCAD was becoming less usable on these systems.
2. Price. Simple! A fully fledged BricsCAD is cheaper than the AutoCAD LT platform and in these cost conscious times this is important, especially for small business.
